We exist to glorify God by making [little] disciples of Jesus Christ.
Vertical Kids is our children’s ministry for children ages 6 months through 4th grade. Because we believe the Bible is clear that parents are the primary disciplers of their children, our VK leadership and volunteer team are committed to partnering with families in pursuit of this mission.
We do so by cultivating safe environments, initiating gospel-fluent conversations in our classrooms, and incorporating an engaging, biblical curriculum.
We can’t wait to see you at our Sunday gatherings!
I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive…that they may see and know, may consider and understand together, that the hand of the LORD has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:19-20

FAQs
-
Kids (ages 6 months through 4th grade) can be checked in before the service on the downstairs level. Instead of coming in through the front doors, follow the signs to the right side of the building; the side door there will lead you directly to the VK desk. Use the iPad kiosk to check in your child, and find your child’s classroom. Each classroom has signage detailing the ages they serve.
-
Check-in will open 30 minutes before each Sunday morning service; classrooms will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our classrooms will open for drop off 15 minutes before service begins.
-
We always do our very best to accommodate every first-time family that comes to our Sunday gatherings! If this is your first time at Vertical Church, be sure to click the “First-time Families” button above! We would love to connect with you! On Sunday morning, stop by the Vertical Kids desk downstairs, and a team lead will show you to your rooms and answer any questions you may have.
-
The biggest reason is that we have more children who want to attend Vertical Kids than our spaces allow. Secondly, while it’s rare, if we also find ourselves in a volunteer shortage, we cannot open all of our classrooms. Each classroom has a capacity and adult-to-child ratio that we adhere to for the safety of the children and the integrity of the gospel environment.
-
We utilize Answers Bible Curriculum in our Sunday morning ministry to toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary schoolers. Our heart is to, in dependence on the Lord, guide kids through the biblical narrative with a focus on foundational truth and key concepts at an age-appropriate level and depth. Our prayer is that each child would come to a greater understanding of who God is, become increasingly confident in his nature and character, and learn what it means to love him and others, living in light of what Scripture teaches.

In order to serve, all volunteers and VK leadership must pass a background check, complete MinistrySafe’s online sexual abuse prevention training, and meet with the VK Director to be trained on VK-specific policies and values.
